CAN’T MISS - NATURE
A Spring Equinox Crystal Retreat is happening on 28 March

The Spring Equinox is back. Longer days, more light, and a good excuse to reset a little.

Clare Marie Holistic Therapies is running a half-day retreat this Saturday at The Garden Room, Newton Meadows. Expect meditation, gentle movement, crystal work, and a walk outdoors.

If you want something slower and a bit different from the usual weekend plans, this is a good one.

CAN’T MISS - CULTURE
Rapunzel is a strong weekend plan at Theatre Severn

If you want one easy plan for the weekend, this is it.

Rapunzel is on at Theatre Severn (28–29 March). It’s simple, local, and works well for families.

No overthinking needed, this one will enchant you.

CAN’T MISS - MUSIC
Orchestra of Folk to play first full concert at Edge Arts Centre on 27 March

The full Orchestra of Folk paired with their instruments.

Orchestra of Folk plays its first full concert of the year this Friday at Edge Arts Centre, Much Wenlock.

Expect a mix of folk, pop, and unexpected covers. Fleetwood Mac, Britpop, and even a dance track.

It’s a slightly unusual lineup, which is exactly why it’s interesting.

I’ll likely be there. If you want music with personality, join.

SHREWSBURY HISTORY THIS WEEK
A Shrewsbury soldier's grave has been identified more than a century after his death

AI render - British Battalion Light Infantry at Second Battle of Ypres

More than a century after his death, a Shrewsbury soldier has been identified in Belgium.

Captain John Russell Pound, a former schoolmaster at Shrewsbury School, was killed at the Second Battle of Ypres. His grave has now been confirmed at Tyne Cot Cemetery, with a rededication attended by his descendants.

A local life, finally returned to the record.
